Soft Cheese and Jam Pastries

So apparently I’ve been slacking lately, but I did manage to film and shoot this super easy Soft Cheese and Jam Pastries for y’all! The hot weather has been driving me crazy and it’s meant I haven’t wanted to stand in the kitchen shooting recipes. This one however requires minimal effort (sums up my style of cooking, lol) but the pastries look like you picked them up from your local bakery. I love soft cheese and using sweetened soft cheese in dessert recipes is always a yes yes! Jam makes the pastries nice and sweet, just the way they should be. Serve cold as part of a teatime spread or serve warm with a scoop of ice cream and fruits for a light after dinner dessert, you’re bound to love them because they’re so simple but tasty!

    This recipe is amazing
So quick and easy to whip up and even if your pastry folding skills aren’t great, they still come out looking lovely ! I’ve got family members who normally dislike jam but they LOVE these !! They taste amazing fresh out of the oven but having said that even hours late when they are cold they are still great.

These were so simple to make and so delicious! My sister and brother in law decided to pop round for tea last minute so I quickly whipped some up and served with tea. They were gone within minutes!

    Hi,
As soft cream is used in this recipe, how do you store them overnight after baking it? Does it need to be refrigerated or not after baking it? X

As salaam. Can I use butter pastry for this or does it have to be puff pastry? I am worried if the butter pastry may make it too rich.

Sorry what is butter pastry? Do you mean shortcrust pastry? I would recommend only puff pastry as butter pastry would make it fairly dense and rich instead of light and airy. x

JazakAllahu Khair for such an easy recipe. I’m rubbish at most things and most things that take people 20 minutes takes me 2 hours. This was such a lovely and easy recipe even I managed to do it so quick! I was abit doubtful about having cream cheese frosting in the oven (I’ve only ever had it on cakes) but it turned out amazing. Everyone absolutely loved it. What a lovely idea and thank you for sharing. May you be granted continous barakah in all that you do.

Yes of course, they taste good when they’re hot out of the oven though, so if you want you can blast them for a few minutes in the oven for that ‘freshly baked’ taste. πŸ™‚
