Ever since we decided we were going ahead with our kitchen extension, I’ve been contemplating on what products I would like fitted in my kitchen. From the very beginning I’ve always known I wanted to incorporate some elements of gold/brass in my kitchen, I’ve been heavily inspired by some kitchen accounts I follow on Instagram, many of which incorporate gold/brass/antique brass elements. To me the pops of gold look like pieces of jewellery in the kitchen, your eyes are automatically drawn to these accent colours and what can be better than kitting out your kitchen with a bit of bling?

Whilst searching for inspiration I also came across a lot of kitchens with statement gold taps/sinks and couldn’t help but want one myself. It was during this time I came across Olif Design on Instagram, a company based here in the UK who specialise in exclusive trend setting sinks and taps. It was after browsing their account and paying a trip to their showroom that I fell in love with their products and knew I wanted a gold sink and tap from Olif.

I’ve always enjoyed sharing and promoting things I genuinely love (in fact I’m always doing it via my Instagram account(s)/stories) so when the possibility of collaborating with Olif Design came about and they asked me if I’d be happy to share some of their other products with my followers, I naturally jumped at the chance!
Not only do Olif Design offer gold taps and sinks, they offer an amazing range of other finishes, because let’s face it, gold isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Thankfully they have an extensive range of products, so there really is something to suit everyone, gone are the days of simply having chrome or stainless steel finishes when it comes to kitchen taps and sinks.
Assoluto Brushed Anthracite kitchen mixer tap
First up we have the Assoluto Brushed Anthracite kitchen mixer tap. This tap comes with several different handle options; pair it with either a matching anthracite tap handle or a stone finish, see image for the different colour options. I know some people love darker metal finishes and this would be perfect for them.
Cascata Nova Pale Brass kitchen mixer tap
The Cascata Nova Pale Brass kitchen mixer tap has an understated elegance which I absolutely love. In a pale brushed brass finish, the tap exudes elegance without being over the top. The gold is neither too warm nor too cold, and in my opinion would co-ordinate well with either silver or gold hardware in the kitchen. It’s subtle, making it perfect for those who want to introduce a contrasting metal without over doing it.
Alveus Delfino Gold kitchen mixer tap
Lastly the Alveus Delfino Gold kitchen mixer tap, Monarch collection is a polished gold tap with contrasting tip and lever, if you want something with WOW factor, then this is it! I really think this would suit a number of kitchen styles and would add a lot of interest. It would also help tie in different metals if you were trying to opt for a mixed metal kitchen, which seems to be very on trend right now.
Which of these taps, if any, would you go for? Let me know by leaving a comment down below.
I think my favourite is the last one, polished gold and mixed metal is soooo my kinda thing right now! For more inspiration and to view more taps/sinks, visit the Olif Design website.
